M1 / A1 North Route

Project Completion 2007

This route, one of the major inter-urbans (MIUs), was fully completed in early 2007. The final section from North of Dundalk to the Border was officially opened in August 2007 and links in with the Northern Ireland A1/M1 route to Belfast. The A1 (DBF02) section was laid by McManus Brothers for White Mountain Surfacing, another Lagan Company. This section was completed and fully operational by September 2010.
