McManus Brothers researched and concluded that it would be beneficial to their clients to develop and control an ironworks/mastic division within the company.

McManus Brothers in 2008 purchased several mastic boilers and vehicles with the aim of facilitating their client’s needs in the raising of ironworks throughout Ireland.

Rather than raise these items beforehand and being a concern with regards the general public H&S it was decided to raise these items with controls in place afterwards with a view to eliminating claims and hazardous circumstances.

These items were being buried during re-surfacing works due to the H&S risks associated with leaving raised and exposed edges forming trip hazards near footpaths, on roads, close to schools as well as being a general hazard to the road users.

On completion of surfacing works McManus Brothers now offer the finishing off product by the re-instatement of these ironworks to the proper specification and to the proper levels as pre-determined in the contract lay-out.

McManus Brothers also have an emergency/call out service in this area to help local authorities to combat increasing claim culture development within road incidents.
